Protecting the Environment During Changeouts
Dean Casey explains how Casey Services works carefully to ensure no damage is done to the environment during HVAC changeouts.
R22 production is currently being phased out and will soon stop completely. Since Freon depletes the Ozone, the EPA requires proper disposal or recycling of Freon. Casey Services pumps Freon into tanks to be reclaimed, rather than venting it into the air, so as to adhere to EPA requirements and protect the environment.
Reclaimed Freon is cleaned by suppliers, sold back to Casey Services, and resold to consumers at one hundred dollars per pound. It is in a homeowner’s best interest to make sure his or her HVAC system does not have any leaks. If your system is leaking or failing, it might be time to consider replacing your old unit with our American Standard Variable speed unit.
